Uva PC web portal was launched by the Chief Secretory of Uva Provice Mr. P.B. Amerasekar today (Saturday 5th February 2011) at 2.30 pm from ICTA stall at Dayata Kirula.

A large amount of canoes and nets were distributed among fishermen’s societies living in Badulla and Moneragala districts by the freshwater fishery development programmes among programmes implemented in the year 2009 by the ministry. Also introduction of a large amount of brood stock to perennial and intermittent water bodies was done in 2009. Further multipurpose buildings were constructed for fishermen’s societies and fishing gear was provided in order to strengthen fishermen’s societies. Also net cages were introduced to nurse brood in order to promote breeding activities. Training could be provided for those who are interested in ornamental fish culture in order to provide self employment. Under the subject of tourism celebration of “Vasantha Udanaya” beautifying programme for Mahiyanganaya town , modernization of Mahiyanganaya bus stand fixing of 24 name boards in places which are of tourist importance, Construction of a sightseeing station on Haputhale-Colombo highway and the beautifying programme for Bandarawella town could be pointed out. Programmes such as conducting “Deyata Kirula” exhibition 2009, conservation of irrigational reserves Badulu oya and Bathmadilla schemes by placing boundary stones.

In addition, “Vasantha Udanaya” programme was launched under tourism programme of 2010 and in order to popularize places of tourist attraction New Year greeting cards and Wesak greeting cards and awareness leaflets.

ඌව පළාත් කෘෂිකර්ම, ගොවිජන සංවර්ධන, සත්ව නිෂ්පාදන, මිරිදිය ධීවර, පරිසර හා සංචාරක අමාත්‍ය ගරු අනුර විදාන ගමගේ මැතිතුමාගේ උදාර සංකල්පයකට අනුව ක්‍රියාත්මක කළ රිදිමාලියද්ද හා මහියංගණ ප්‍රාදේශිය ලේකම් කොට්ඨාසවල ජිවත්වන ජනතාව මුහුණ දි තිබෙන විවිධ විෂය ක්ෂේත්‍රයන්ට අදාල ගැටළු නිරාකරණය කර ගැනිම සඳහා ඊට අදාල වගකිව යුතු රජයේ ආයතන හා පළාත් සභා සහ ඒ යටතේ පවතින ආයතන වෙත සෘජුවම එම ගැටළු ඉදිරිපත් කරමින් එම අවස්ථාවේ දිම ඒ සඳහා විසදුම් ලබාදිම මෙම කෘෂිකාර්මික ජංගම සේවාවේ අරමුණයි.

මෙහි පළමු සේවාව 2011 ජුලි මස 23 දින රිදිමාලියද්ද ආඳාඋල්පත ජාතික පාසල් භූමියේ දි සහ 24 දින මහියංගණ මධ්‍ය මහා විද්‍යාල භූමියේ දි පවත්වන ලදි. මෙම ජංගම සේවාව සඳහා පහත සඳහන් රාජ්‍ය හා පෞද්ගලික ආයතන සහභාගි වු අතර, ඔවුන් වෙත ඉදිරිපත් වු ගැටළු ප්‍රමාණයන් හා ඒ අවස්ථාවේ දිම  විසදුම් ලබාදුන් ගැටළු ප්‍රමාණයන් ද මේ සමග දක්වා ඇත.
